Art

Art

At Silverhill, our art sessions aim to engage, inspire and challenge pupils. Children are given opportunities to produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences. They will experiment and use visual elements such as pattern, texture, colour, line, tone, shape, form, and space. Pupils are taught how to compare ideas, methods and approaches in different styles and traditions and how to recognise how art reflects and shapes our history.  The art is carefully intertwined into the topic, studying relevant artists that enhance the learning experiences for the children. Children are encouraged to think critically and express their own ideas and opinions about a piece of art work.
